The rainbow fish symbol can have multiple meanings, including:

Fish like the Paracheirodon innesi produce iridescence through light bouncing off stacks of tiny guanine platelets in their scales
Rainbowfish are small, colorful freshwater fish that are native to northern and eastern Australia, New Guinea, Sulawesi, and Madagascar.
Rainbow fish are known for their iridescent colors, which change when light reflects off them..
Type of fish
The term "rainbow fish" is a general name for many types of ray-finned fish, but it usually refers to the Melanotaeniidae family of freshwater fish.
The name comes from the Greek words melano (black) and taenia (banded), which refers to the black bands that run along the bodies of some species in this family..
